Tirupati: It is a general belief that most of the government employees were very mechanical in their routine. To achieve the set goals, employees have to play an active role. District Collector PS Pradyumnahas recognised this and in a bid to motivate them he has launched a new programme called ‘Yedee Asadhyam Kadu’ (Nothing is impossible).
The programme is a novel one and Collector believes that it will change the attitude of the employees. Employees are accustomed to a routine work style which makes the district administration in lagging behind in implementation of various schemes. To compete with other districts and to deliver the schemes on a fast-track basis, it is important to make every employee active and think innovatively.
The Collector chalked out a new programme. The main objective this is to convey the message that if employees work with sincerity, dedication and social responsibility anything can be achieved. This will throw away the negative feelings that the targets are too high, difficult to achieve etc.
Under the scheme, the Collector wants to identify, who works efficiently with dedication and to encourage them. This in turn will lit the fire among other employees as they too can get easily motivated. He considered a few examples.
In Beerappa Cheruvu, a remote area of Irala mandal, a few teachers put enormous efforts in keeping the school at the top position in the district. In Kondraju Kalva of Tavanampalle mandal, the villagers lauded Anganwadi worker’s extraordinary efforts. Seeing this, an NRI came forward to donate a building with Rs 10 lakh for that Anganwadi centre.
Similarly, farmers of Aravavandla Palle village of Pulicherla mandal have formed into a society and constructed a farm pond through the Horticulture department. They were cultivating 60 acres mango orchard unitedly through drip irrigation. The way, uneducated farmers and small employees have reached these heights has attracted the Collector. Taking them as example, he wanted to communicate to all the employees that if a strong determination towards the welfare of the people is there, nothing is impossible. Anything can be achieved within the framework of government rules and regulations.
The programme ‘Yedee Asadhyam Kadu’ was coined from this thinking. This became inevitable to keep the Chief Minister’s home turf on the top in implementing various schemes. Government is also giving huge targets to the district administration. Under the new programme, the work of each and every employee from bottom line to officers will be evaluated. Employees, who feel that they worked in an excellent way, can submit their details along with photos to the Chief Planning Officer (CPO),
before October 22.
The best employees and officers will be felicitated in a grand way at a function to be held in Chittoor on October 27. To organise this programme, a committee was formed under the leadership of Joint Collector. CPO will act as member convenor. This committee will recognize, the employees who were working remarkably well and select them for the felicitation. And, the district administration is highly hopeful that this programme will yield positive results in future.
