Ministers resignation demanded
Taking the blame for suicides of students studying in corporate colleges in the state, Minister for Municipal Administration Narayana and HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao should resign from their posts, demanded the Atheist Society of India and other progressive and democratic groups.

Participating in the round-table conference organised by Atheist Society of India at Ambedkar Bhavan in the city on Sunday, members of different forums expressed their concerns over increasing students’ suicides in the state.
Atheist Society of India President Y Nookaraju demanded that the government step in and take action against the colleges where the students studying have attempted suicide.
APCLC district secretary PV Ramana said: “As the corporate college managements have been running institutions only with profit motto, the students are unable to take pressure. This should change.” Adding to it, Prof Ch Manjulatha of Andhra University said these education institutions failed to impart quality education to students.
