Amaravati: TDP national president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu seriously warned the party MLAs for their failure in actively participating in the Intintiki Telugu Desam – a programme intended to reach out to the masses by the party leaders to explain the welfare and development programmes taken up by the TDP government.

Naidu addressed the TDP Coordination Committee meeting held at his residence at Undavalli on Wednesday. Nara Lokesh, party general secretary and Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj, explained the progress of the Intintiki Telugu Desam programme. He said still majority of the MLAs were in C and D grades in the performance rankings given by the party.

Nidamanuru, Avanigadda, Pamarru, Palamaneru and other constituencies secured C grade in the Intintiki Telugu Desam programme, observed Chandrababu Naidu. On the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu said the decision by the YSRCP to boycott the Assembly session was a bad sign.

Chandrababu Naidu pointed out that when TDP founder N T Rama Rao boycotted the House, the rest of the MLAs attended and represented problems of public in the Assembly. But, now only to protect his personal interests, YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy has directed all his MLAs not to attend the House, the Chief Minister said.

He also alleged that Jagan has taken up Padayatra only to escape from attending court on every Friday, but the court did not provide him any exemption. Chandrababu Naidu suggested to the party leaders to explain the Opposition leader’s intention to the public.
