300 take part in Run for Unity in Tirupati

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati,on Sunday organised ‘Run for Unity’ to mark Rashtriya Ektha Divas. IIT Tirupati Director Prof KN Satyanarayana and Tirupati Municipal Corporation Commissioner C Hari Kiran flagged off the run at Ramanuja Circle in Tirupati.
Tirupati: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Tirupati,on Sunday organised ‘Run for Unity’ to mark Rashtriya Ektha Divas. IIT Tirupati Director Prof KN Satyanarayana and Tirupati Municipal Corporation Commissioner C Hari Kiran flagged off the run at Ramanuja Circle in Tirupati.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Satyanarayana said that the run was aimed at creating awareness on national unity. About 300 students of IIT and faculty have participated in the 7-kilometer run held from Ramanuja Circle to IIT Campus. Corporation Commissioner Hari Kiran said that they will take up Tirupati development with the help of experts in IIT.
