Three youth drown in Bay of Bengal
Three youth drowned in the Bay of Bengal at Perupalem Beach in Mogaltur mandal of West Godavari district on Sunday.
Eluru: Three youth drowned in the Bay of Bengal at Perupalem Beach in Mogaltur mandal of West Godavari district on Sunday. According to police, five youth Patti Surendra (28), Kumar (26) of Bhimavaram, Buditi Avinash (26), ICICI Bank branch manager of Palacole town, Chinimilli Satyanarayana Swamy, an Assistant Professor of SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram and Munagala Vasu, all childhood friends went to the beach to enjoy the Sunday.
All the five after enjoying on the beach had their lunch. Later, the five youth ventured into the sea to take a dip around 3.30 pm. While they were taking a dip, a high tidal wave hit them. Seeing this, the surrounding people pulled Chinimilli Satyanarayana Swamy and Munagala Vasu to the shore. The remaining three Patti Surendra, Buditi Avinash and Kumar drowned in the sea.
In the evening, the bodies of Patti Surendra and Buditi Avinash were found near the accident site. Of the victims, Patti Surendra was doing fertilizers business in Bhimavaram, Mogaltur police on information reached the spot and searched for Kumar’s body. The two bodies have been shifted to Narsapur Government hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered at Mogalturu Police station.
