The output of sugar cane crop, which was cultivated over 1.25 lakh acres in 2014-15, has been falling drastically. The output has come down to 1.15 lakh acres in 2015-2016, reports said. Many farmers in the region are not in position to produce sugar cane due to the absence of government support.
