Pithapuram: On account of Datta Jayanti Saptaham, Lord Dattatreya was on Tuesday worshipped with rose flowers as part of ‘Sahasra gulabi archana’ at Pada Gaya pilgrimage centre.
The temple priests conducted Ganesh puja, Panchamruta abhishekam to the presiding deity, Rudrabhishekam, Sahasranamarchana and gave aarti to the deity.
They recited Guru Charitra on the occasion. Towards in the evening, Agni Pratishtapana, Dattamoola mantra homam and other rituals were performed.
Temple trust committee KS Prakash, executive officer Chandaka Dorababu and others took part. At Sripada Srivallabha Maha Sansthan, special pujas, including Gopuja Rudrabhishekam, Datta hand Pallaki Seva, were performed on account of Datta Jayanti.
