CPM State Committee Secretary P Madhu, has said that CPM will hold its three-day state convention in Bhimavaram from February 10 next year.
Bhimvaram: CPM State Committee Secretary P Madhu, has said that CPM will hold its three-day state convention in Bhimavaram from February 10 next year.
He participated as chief guest in the meeting of CPM Delta, Upland Committees leaders, workers held here at Sundarayya Bhavan here on Sunday.The Delta Committee Secretary B Balaram presided over the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Madhu said that CPM would fight for the cause of the people. He stated that Bhimavaram area was on the forefront in taking up agitations against the anti-people policies. In view of the importance of the Bhimavaram area, the party decided to conduct the state convention here. Party State Secretariat member V Umamaheswara Rao said that the State convention would discuss the problems of farmers, women, youth, students, workers and environment.
Later, the meeting elected former MLA and CPM senior leader R Satyanarayana Raju (RS), as president of the CPM State Convention Invitation Committee, B Balaram as general secretary, Mantena Sitaram, Chintakayala Babu Rao, Digupati Raja Gopal and Juttiga Narasimha Murthy as vice-presidents and JNV Gopalan as treasurer of the committee. Another 100 members also were elected to the invitation committee.
