Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham on Saturday addressed the media at his Kirlampudi residence where he criticized the TDP government's decision to Kapu reservation bill in the AP Assembly and proposing 5 percent reservation.

Stating that the Kapu community wants 10 percent reservation, he said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is misleading the public with the proposed 5 percent reservation and added that the Kapus demand 10 percent reservation along with the inclusion of kapus in the Ninth Schedule before March 31 next year.

Mudragada further stated that if the deadline is not met, the Kapu community will fight for its rights.

Clarifying that the Kapu agitation would be put on hold till March 31, he stated that the Chief Minister needs to fulfill the promises made instead of tarnishing YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's immage for demanding reservation of Kapus.
