Tirupati: Tirumala JEO KS Srinivasa Raju on Thursday reviewed the ongoing renovation works for the modernisation of temple kitchen (Potu) in Tirumala with Engineering and Potu officials. The review meeting was held in the Administrative Building in Tirupati.

Speaking on the occasion, the JEO said renovation of temple kitchen was taken up with an aim to increase the quantity of laddus matching the demand from the pilgrims. He also instructed officials of the Engineering wing to come out with an action plan on the machinery and the equipment to prepare sugar syrup and boondi for making additional laddus.

“The machinery should be utilised effectively, and a Deputy Executive Engineer should be allotted for its maintenance exclusively,” he added. The JEO also instructed the temple and potu wing officials to assess the manpower requirement for the preparation of additional laddus. FACAO Balaji, CE Chandrasekhar Reddy, SE II Ramachandra Reddy, Deputy EO Venugopal, AEO Ashok, and potu workers were also present.
