 Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the long-awaited heli tourism project, jointly taken up by Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) and Department of Tourism of AP, in the city on Saturday.

The Chief Minister handed over the first sale of tickets to tourists on the occasion.Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that his government made the port city, a ‘wedding destination’ by promoting number of tourism projects in and around the city. The government has been developing the Visakhapatnam as number one tourist spot in the country, he added.

Naidu expressed confidence that the heli tourism project would attract many foreign tourists besides giving boost to domestic tourism.

“The tourists now can have a bird view of thick green hillocks, Bay of Bengal, Lambasingi, Araku Valley, Simhachalam hills and the fastest growing city,” he said and addedby maintaining the eco-friendly atmosphere in Visakhapatnam, the government has been promoting the tourism and also creating more number of employment opportunities in the hospitality sector.

The government successfully conducted the International Investor Meet and also gearing up to conduct third meet in the coming February in the city, the Chief Minister said. 
He added the city is very comfortable for IT business and Google Ex, FinTech and Knowledge Economy. The Chief Minister hoped that Visakhapatnam would become a financial capital of Andhra Pradesh soon.
