CPM activists told to accept changes in politics
State secretary of CPM P Madhu on Sunday called upon the party cadre to move forward by accepting changes occurring in emerging political scenario. Addressing the district conference on its second day, he urged every activist to strive for restoring the party’s old glory.

Madhu stressed the importance of activists understanding the changes taking place in the agriculture sector and its social and financial effects on the middle classes.
In this regard, he said the Visakhapatnam party conference had taken some important decisions. Their implementation, Madhu noted would increase patronage for the party.
He pointed out that there was no difference between the BJP and Congress in their economic policies, with both promoting the interests of corporates. ‘Even the regional parties were toeing the same line’.
CPM State Committee member Dadala Subba Rao claimed that BJP was resorting to dirty tricks for gaining strength in the State. As part of this, the party was wooing Dalits, displaying false affection towards them, even while attacks on Dalits and Christians were continuing. Rao criticised the party for neglecting people’s problems, even though being an ally of TDP.
He accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of indulging in corruption with regard to the Polavaram project. Naidu who had exposed corruption of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was now himself involved in corrupt practices.
