Nine people sustained injuries when a mini-van hit the auto on National Highway near Bommuluru village in Krishna district on Sunday. According to police, 9 persons from Karmika Nagar in Gudivada town boarded an auto to go to Dwaraka Tirumala in West Godavari to have a darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara. 

Eluru: Nine people sustained injuries when a mini-van hit the auto on National Highway near Bommuluru village in Krishna district on Sunday. According to police, 9 persons from Karmika Nagar in Gudivada town boarded an auto to go to Dwaraka Tirumala in West Godavari to have a darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara.

After the darshan, they boarded the auto to return to Gudivada. When the auto reached near Bommuluru village in Krishna district on National Highway, a mini lorry hit the auto from rear side. With this, the auto overturned. Following this, nine members in auto received injuries. Of them, Marella Lokesh,10, Kavya,3, SK Unnisa and van driver S Vijay were seriously injured.

The local people immediately called the 108-ambulance and shifted all the injured to Eluru Government hospital. As the condition of Lokesh, Kavya, Unnisa, S Vijay said to be very critical, they were shifted to Vijayawada Government hospital.

The other five were treated as outpatients. The three-year-old girl child Kavya was neighbour’s daughter. The outpost police of Eluru government hospital took the statements from the injured and referred the case to Bapulapadu police station in Krishna district.
