A team of the Quality Council of India toured in different parts of the city here on Sunday. The team once visited the city in the past and certified that this city was an Open Defecation Free (ODF) city. 

Rajamahendravaram: A team of the Quality Council of India toured in different parts of the city here on Sunday. The team once visited the city in the past and certified that this city was an Open Defecation Free (ODF) city.

The team toured in May this year and issued a certificate that this city was not freed from open defecation.

Now, the team visited the Sarangadhara Metta in the 47th division and asked the public about the open defecation. They also examined the two government schools, two commercial areas and two slums in the city. They collected all the details which they noticed in their visits in the city.

Rajahmundry Corporation’s Health Officer MVR Murthy, Sanitary Supervisors Narayanarao, Srinivasa Rao and others accompanied the ODF team.

The team will declare and issue a certificate in a week on the current status and maintenance of ODF in the city.
