Visakhapatnam: In a shocking incident, a tribal woman was stripped and assaulted by two men in full public glare. The incident occurred on Wednesday at Jerripothulapalem village in Pendurthi, a suburb and a mandal in Visakhapatnam.
According to reports, a public representative Madaka Appala Raju and former Sarpanch Vadisala Srinu got into argument with the woman over a land dispute on Wednesday morning. Appala Raju and Srinu along with his men attacked her and stripped her naked in the village. When the victim approached the police over the assault, she was sent back to home. No complaint has been so far registered. Further details over the incident are awaited.
