Amaravati: Information Technology (IT) should be a subject in all colleges of the State and it should promote innovation and integration in sectors like education, agriculture and medicine, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

“The IT sector should be corruption-free, and decision-making must have no delay,” Naidu said during a meeting with the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).

After returning from foreign tour, he conducted his first meeting with the SIPB on investments strategy at the Secretariat on Saturday. He said that the government must adopt changing technologies.“Large investments are expected in the next
15 years. The companies are focusing on advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and robot technology,” he explained.

Chandrababu Naidu observed that the AP too has been focusing on IT and Internet of Things.
Recently, mega events which link IT with different sectors like Fintech, Agri-tech and Ed-tech were held in the State, he added.

IT Minister Nara Lokesh said that a large number of companies from the electronic industry have shown interest to invest in Silicon Corridor in AP. He assured that in the upcoming Partnership Summit, AP will get many MoUs confirmed and signed.
An MoU has already been signed with Google X and the software company Zoho will launch its establishment in Tirupati in January. Electronics manufacturing company Flextronics is ready to invest in AP, he explained.
