All the star hotels, non-star hotels, farm houses, resorts and guest houses have been receiving tremendous response from the New Year revellers. There is no room for accommodation in the hotels on December 31 to January 2 in the city and on the outskirts.

All the star hotels, non-star hotels, farm houses, resorts and guest houses have been receiving tremendous response from the New Year revellers. There is no room for accommodation in the hotels on December 31 to January 2 in the city and on the outskirts.

According to information from graded hotels, big number of tourists from various other states including West Bengal, Odisha, Telangana and from several districts in the state booked rooms and accommodation for New Year parties.

Due to demonetisation in December 2016, there was no response from New Year revellers to the hospitality industry in the city. However, this time the hospitality industry has been receiving tremendous response from the revellers.

There are 17-star hotels and 31 non-star hotels, 12 resorts and over 21 noted farm houses in and around the city. Meanwhile, there is a big demand for the rooms and accommodation at Araku Valley also. There is no single room available in all the hotels and resorts in Arku Valley on December 31 and January 1 and 2. Meanwhile, across the beach front there are several events are being planned.

The managements have been making lavish arrangements by offering several New Year packages also. The organisers are making lavish arrangements with variety of drinks, food items with music and dance programmes. The star hotels have organising the programmes with international DJs besides laser shows, lavish buffets and many other entertainment programmes.

Meanwhile, the city police geared up to impose several restrictions on the New Year parties to prevent untoward incidents. According to police officials, no party will be allowed after 1 pm in the night on December 31. The police sources said 50 special teams with armed forces will be deployed to guard the city on the night.
