All parties demand closure of belt shops
Leaders of various political parties demanded that the government close belt shops at a meeting held at Acharya N G Ranga statue in Ponnur on Sunday evening. Addressing the gathering, MLA MD Musthafa wanted the government to take steps to identify belt shops immediately.

He reminded that the Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu assured the closure of belt shops upon being elected. “After coming to power, he forgot his promise,” he alleged.
Mala Mahanadu state president, Mallela Venkata Rao urged the government to adhere to their needs immediately failing which they would continue their agitation.
Ponnur ZPTC Kota Srinivasa Rao, former MLA Ravi Venkata Ramana, Jana Sena leader Tanner Kishore, BJP leader Kota Venkata Tirumala Rao and Kapu Nadu Ponnur Assembly constituency president Mohan Rao were among those who participated in the meeting.
