Bhimavaram cricket league begins
Former MLA and YSRCP convener, Grandhi Srinivas inaugurated the Bhimavaram Cricket League at the Luthern High School Grounds here on Thursday. The cricket tournament would be held for eight days.

Speaking on the occasion, the former MLA was disappointed that most schools did not have a playground. He suggested the development of playgrounds in Bhimavaram and provide necessary facilities for sports and games. “It is necessary to divert the youth towards sports and games to avoid them to get addicted to bad habits.”
He batted on the occasion to mark the inauguration. YSRCP leaders Pericharla Vijaya Narasimharaju, Kode Yugandhar, Pericharla Satyanarayana Raju, Gadiraju Subrahmanyaraju, Revuri Gogiraju, Bhusarapu Sai Satyanarayana, Kandikatla Edward, Mavullamma temple trustee Lanki Chinni participated in the inaugural programme.
