The District Youth Services Department organised 5-K Run to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vevekananda on the Beach Road followed by a meeting at Skill Development Training Centre, Arilova, here on Friday. MLC and President of GITAM University MVVS Murthi flagged off the 5-K Run at the RK Beach. NSS, NCC, SYK, NGOs and Youth Associations took part in the rally.

Visakhapatnam: The District Youth Services Department organised 5-K Run to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vevekananda on the Beach Road followed by a meeting at Skill Development Training Centre, Arilova, here on Friday. MLC and President of GITAM University MVVS Murthi flagged off the 5-K Run at the RK Beach. NSS, NCC, SYK, NGOs and Youth Associations took part in the rally.

At a meeting organised at Skill Development Centre, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority and Civil Judge S Damodara Rao was the chief guest. Addressing the trainees, the Civil Judge appealed the youth to take Vivekananda’s life as an inspiration to climb the success ladder.

District Youth Welfare Officer S Venkateswara Rao, Coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra Dr Chandana, Skill Development Centre chief administrative officer CVN Das and several other officials were present.

The District Youth Services in association with Ramakrishna Mission organised a book exhibition at the Skill Development Centre. The members of RK Mission explained about the books on Vivekananda.
