13 booked for assaulting police
In all, 13 drunkards were booked for assaulting police on Kanuma festival in Terlam mandal in the district. Bobbili DSP S Sowmya Latha disclosed that some local people of Terlam created nuisance after consuming alcohol on Tuesday.

Bobbili DSP S Sowmya Latha disclosed that some local people of Terlam created nuisance after consuming alcohol on Tuesday. Head constable K Murthy and another constable tried to control them but they didn't listen to their instructions instead they assaulted them.
Later, the police reached the police station and lodged a complaint against the drunkards. In turn, police reached Ramalayam Centre where the incident occurred and identified the accused. Later, police registered cases against 13 and took up investigation. Sowmya Latha stated that all the accused will be arrested soon and action will be taken against them.
