Two drown in Godavari

Two boys drowned in river Godavari at Saladivaripalem near Pasuvulanka on Monday. According to I Polavaram sub-inspector Kranthi Kumar, three boys, who came to celebrate Sankranti to Saladivaripalem went for swimming in the river.

The three boys ventured into river for swimming. Two boys entered deep waters and drowned. After hearing their yells some locals ventured into river and rescued a boy Pothula Anil, 17.
The bodies of two drowned boys were identified as Shyam, 14 and Revu Kalyan, 19. Police shifted the bodies to government hospital at Mummidivaram for an autopsy.
