DOB of Entire Family Shows 111 years In Ration Card

In a stark example of the negligence of government authorities , the Date Of Birth (DOB) of an entire family - husband, wife and son were shown 111 years on the ration card issued by the Andhra Pradesh government in Chittoor district recenlty. It came to light when the engineering college management verified the 18 year old Muralidhar Reddy\'s DOB on ration card on online.

As per the official records, Venkata Ramana was 55 year old and his wife Amaramma is 45. Their son Reddy's age , who is studying Btech second year , was also mentioned wrong. The family was hailed from Yamparlapalli village in Peddatippa Samudram mandal. Their ration card number is 100400A0166.
Alerted family members immediately rushed to nearby Mee Seva office where the staff informed them it is not possible to rectify the mistake unless the concerned authority give clearance for the change of the date of birth.
