23-year-old girl run over by train while cross railway track in Nellore
A 23-year-old woman was killed while crossing the railway track at Nellore Railway Station.
A 23-year-old woman was killed while crossing the railway track at Nellore Railway Station.
The incident took place on Thursday, when the woman, identified as R Srilatha was mowed down by a train while crossing the tracks.
A native of Somarajupalle, the woman was was a student of Spoorthi coaching centre in Nellore.
Srilatha resided at a ladies hostel along with her friend Sirisha and left for coaching centre on Thursday.
However, she was found dead on the railway track. The passersby ascertained her identity with the help of her books and alerted the police.
An eye-witness informed the police that the victim didn’t seem to be aware of the approaching train as she was crossing the railway lines.
The police suspect the possibility of a suicide but her friends said that she had no reasons to do so.
A case of unnatural death has been registered by the police.
