Nine jailed for 10 days in drink & drive case
Adoni court has sentenced 9 persons to 10 days imprisonment on the charges of drink and drive. According to the available information, the Yemmiganur police have conducted a programme to inspect the vehicles on Wednesday night.
Kurnool: Adoni court has sentenced 9 persons to 10 days imprisonment on the charges of drink and drive. According to the available information, the Yemmiganur police have conducted a programme to inspect the vehicles on Wednesday night.
During the inspection, 9 persons were found to have consumed liquor. Police have filed cases against them and produced at Adoni court on Thursday. The court passed orders awarding 10 days imprisonment to the accused and no penalty was imposed.
The Yemmiganur police have said that if anyone is found drunk during the check-up, then cases would be registered against them. They also said that driving after consuming alcohol is not good.
Several road accidents have been occurring as drivers were seen in an inebriated condition. They also gave a brief description of disadvantages of consuming alcohol.
