Rally with 200 artistes held to promote Gandikota fest
The district administration has organised a Shobha Yatra on a grand scale in the city here on Saturday, as part of Gandikota Heritage festival celebrations. About 20 cultural teams comprising 200 artistes have performed while participating in the rally. The rally began from Krishna Theatre Circle and concluded at Chennuru Bus Stand passing via Gandhi Statue and Gokul Lodge.

About 20 cultural teams comprising 200 artistes have performed while participating in the rally. In-Charge Collector Shweta Teotia has flagged off the rally. Speaking on the occasion, she stated that the Gandikota Heritage festival is being organised from January 21 to 23 at Gandikota village on the directions of the government. She stated that the government had sanctioned Rs 3 crore for organising festival.
“The aim of the government in conducting heritage festival is to make Gandikota as popular tourism spot for attracting large number the tourists,” she said adding unemployed will get employment opportunities once it becomes popular.
The official mentioned various cultural programmes will be organised during the three-day event. Joint Collector 2 Siva Reddy, Tourism Regional Officer Gopal and others were present.
