In-Charge Collector Shweta Teotia has flagged off the rally. Speaking on the occasion, she stated that the Gandikota Heritage festival is being organised from January 21 to 23 at Gandikota village on the directions of the government. She stated that the government had sanctioned Rs 3 crore for organising festival.

“The aim of the government in conducting heritage festival is to make Gandikota as popular tourism spot for attracting large number the tourists,” she said adding unemployed will get employment opportunities once it becomes popular.

The official mentioned various cultural programmes will be organised during the three-day event. Joint Collector 2 Siva Reddy, Tourism Regional Officer Gopal and others were present.
