Transfers for municipal teachers soon
Municipal teachers in the state will get transfers very soon. The minister for Municipal Administration P.Narayana has already agreed to conduct transfers to the teachers in the municipal corporations and municipalities in the state after 15-years this year.
Guntur: Municipal teachers in the state will get transfers very soon. The minister for Municipal Administration P.Narayana has already agreed to conduct transfers to the teachers in the municipal corporations and municipalities in the state after 15-years this year. Responding to the request of the Municipal Teachers Federation, the Municipal Administration minister P.Narayana, assured that the government will conduct the transfers to the Municipal teachers in the month of May.
The government is expected to issue a G.O.to this effect very soon. After that the regional director of Municipal Administration will conduct transfers for municipalities in the district.
Similarly, the municipal corporation commissioner will conduct transfers for teachers working in the municipal corporation. According to norms, all the municipalities in the district will be taken as a unit. All corporations in the district will be taken as one unit.
According to sources, the municipal corporations, municipalities are preparing the teachers seniority list in the state. Vijayawada and Vizag Municipal Corporations have already given promotions to the teachers because municipal corporation commissioners senior IAS officers than the DMA. The director of municipal administration is in favour of giving promotions to the municipal teachers. But remaining corporations and municipalities are delaying in preparation of seniority list of the seniors. The government has already a issued a G.O. to give promotions to the municipal teachers.
The school assistants will become HMs, similarly, senior HMs will get promotion as deputy educational officers in the municipal corporation.
The delay in preparation of seniority list is worrying the municipal teachers. The municipal officials wrote a letter to the school education department to speeding up in preparation of seniority list. Municipal Teachers Federation state president S Ramakrishna said, “Municipal administration minister P Narayana agreed for transfer of teachers in April. If seniority list is prepared the teachers will get promotions. While teachers in Vizag and Vijayawada corporations got promotions,the teachers elsewhere are waiting. We have requested P.Narayana to speed up process for municipal teachers.”
