Drawing competitions evoke huge response
The district- level drawing and quiz competitions at St Anthony English Medium School on ‘Wetland Conservation’ on the eve of ‘World Wetland Day’ evoked a good response from school children across the district on Thursday.
Kakinada: The district- level drawing and quiz competitions at St Anthony English Medium School on ‘Wetland Conservation’ on the eve of ‘World Wetland Day’ evoked a good response from school children across the district on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Andhra Pradesh National Green Corps Convener K Srinivas Rao said that they conducted these competitions on the directive of State Director of National Green Corps BVA Krishna Murthy.
Furthermore, Srinivas Rao informed that 214 schoolchildren from 21 schools in the city participated in the programme. He said that the children drew many beautiful pictures of wetlands.
He informed that the first prize in quiz was secured by Aditya School’s Devi Sri Prasad while the first prize in drawing competition was secured by K Satish of AMG School. Saint Anthony School in-charge Ravi Kumar and several teachers participated.
