Niti Aayog member and chief of the Economic Advisory Council to Prime Minister Bibek Debroy has said that Sanskrit is the mother of all languages and many of the good practices which were adopted in our Indian culture were taken from the ancient mythology and other ancient Vedic texts which are in Sanskrit language.

Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha 21st convocation was held on a grand note here on Monday by the University management. Bibek Debroy has given his convocational address.

He said, “Instead of using the Latin word 'convocation', we should use Deekshanta Samaroha or Samaavartanam. The Samskar is important for human beings inner conscience. In the Samskar, the Samaavartana Samskar stands highest.

This will be attained only through Sanskrit only."
Earlier, the convocationprogrammewas launched by Prof V Muralidhara Sharma, Vice-Chancellor's with his welcome address. In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor has recalled, "The Vidyapeetha, last year started Sanskrit Smbhashan training (spoken skills), Transcendental Meditation training, Model Career Center, ICT etc., and organised the programmes".

The former Chief Election Commissioner of India and N Gopalaswami, the Chancellor of Vidyapeetha, in his Presidential address, categorically stated that the Vidyapeetha has taken care of propagating and publishing new Sanskritbooks in an easy way to understand. The digitalisation of Manuscripts is on full swing. And we are working hard for developing Vidyapeetha as Central Sanskrit University'.

The RSVP honoured the Mahamahopadhyaya title to BrahmasriBallapadau Madhav Upadhyaya, Brahmasri Sribhashyam Vijayasarathi, Brahmasri Salaka RaghunathaSarma.

University has conferred the Vacaspati (D.Litt) to former AP DGP Dr Karanam Aravinda Rao and Dr Marri Krishna Reddy. Over all, 635 students of different Sastras got degrees. Among them, 46 candidates got PhD., 19 students received the Gold Medals through the Chancellor.

The Vidyapeetha's Board of Management Members Prof V Kutumba Sastry, Prof RLN Sastry, N MukteswaraRao, VSripathi, Prof V Purandara Reddy, staff members and students participated in the convocation. Prof GSR Krishnamurthy conducted the Convocation programmeproceedings.
