Hyderabad: Demanding that all the assurances given during bifurcation of the State, including Special Category Status (SCS), should be fulfilled, YSR Congress has said that Chandrababu Naidu government should refrain from the hide-and-seek policies and be stern with the Centre in the interest of the state.

Addressing media here on Friday, party MLA and PAC Chairman in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Buggana Rajendernath Reddy said, Chandrababu Naidu conveniently goes on a foreign jaunt while TDP MPs behave in a Quixote manner in Delhi even as the Partys cabinet minister pleads with the Centre to at least give some time for discussion on the state during the next parliament session.

This blow hot, blow cold methodology yields no results and we have to firmly demand the SCS, Vizag Railway Zone, Kadapa Steel Plant, industrial corridors and other assurances given during the bifurcation of the state.

There is no escape route for TDP of BJP either as both were party to the bifurcation of the state and the promise of the SCS besides other assurances.

Chandrababu Naidu has been speaking as if he has woken up from slumber after four years and has no knowledge of the Centres neglect of the state so far. While one TDP MP resorts to exhibitionist mode, the other becomes very vocal and the TDP MP, who is in the union cabinet, seeks permission to include the issue for a discussion in the next session of parliament.

These are all theatrics which should be stopped and they should assert themselves seeking all assurances during bifurcations to be honoured and Polavaram project should be given back to the Centre and Chandrababu Naidu should desist from self boasting about the state and painting a rosy picture which has boomeranged when it comes to aid and Central funds.

The Chief Minister telling that the growth rate is over 11 % has no substantial indicators and people often wonder as to why there has been a revenue deficit if the growth rate is so high. The capital city has to be built over a period of time and the Vidhan Soudha of Karnataka has been built in four years while not single brick was laid in Andhra Pradesh which shows the difference, he said.
