Two persons were held for lifting of hundi from the famous Shiva temple Srimukhalingam in Jalumuru mandal on Tuesday. According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr C M Trivikrama Varma, one of the accused is a seven-year-old boy and he would be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) as he was a minor.

Srikakulam: Two persons were held for lifting of hundi from the famous Shiva temple Srimukhalingam in Jalumuru mandal on Tuesday. According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr C M Trivikrama Varma, one of the accused is a seven-year-old boy and he would be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) as he was a minor.

The other accused was identified as M Venkata Ramana. He said both of them had lifted the hundi from the temple by breaking the doors on southern side of temple and stole cash worth Rs 10,000 from the hundi. Due to repair of CC cameras, the incident was not recorded, the SP added. Circle Inspector of Police (Narasannapeta) P Pydapu Naidu and Sub-Inspector of Police Jalumuru K Govinda Rao were present.
