Minors riding vehicles a cause for concern
South Coastal Zone Guntur Range Inspector General of Police KVV Gopala Rao directed the police officials to take steps to reduce accidental deaths and enforce compulsory helmet rule to bring down accidental deaths. He Inspected West Traffic Police Station in Guntur on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he instructed the officials to conduct drunken driving tests to check drunk driving and expressed concern that minors were driving the two wheelers. Minors riding vehicles was resulting in road accidents and directed the officials to take steps to prevent minors from driving the motor vehicles. He stressed on need to create awareness on traffic rules and conduct awareness meeting in the public places and remove encroachments with the cooperation of Guntur Municipal Corporation for the smooth flow of the traffic on the roads. He said traffic police would play key role in reducing road accidents.
