Visakhapatnam: Bringing a big change in exhibitions, the education department on Thursday launched open and practical exhibits in the city. Making an end to the routine and boring exhibitions, the department is promoting and encouraging students’ hidden talent through practical exhibits.

These new practical exhibits were placed at the state-level science exhibition in the city. Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the expo. The students of Class VI to X displayed their talents in the expo. While observing the practical exhibits, including using of solar power for cooking and drone services in the daily needs.

Speaking on the occasion, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that all the senior scientists and intellectuals of various fields started their experiments from the school days only. The state government is giving top priority to the education and allotting huge revenues.

The government is spending Rs 4,500 crore to create infrastructure in the government schools, he added. The minister also reminded that, if any scientist brings Nobel prize, the Chief Minister announced Rs 100 crore as a cash award to the winner.
