Organs of brain dead donated to eight
Organs of 15-year-old boy, who was declared brain dead, have been donated to eight persons on Saturday. According to information, the 15-year-old boy, belonging to Pamidimukkala village, suffered serious injuries on February 18 when a speeding vehicle dashed against him at Vuyyur village while he was crossing the road.

The boy went to Vuyyur to download some movie songs in his mobile.The injured boy was immediately shifted to Kamineni Hospital at Kanur. Unfortunately, the boy was declared brain dead on February 23. The hospital doctors counselled the parents to donate the organs to other people through the Jeevandhara Trust for which the parents agreed.
With the consent of parents, heart and lungs were shifted to two corporate hospitals in Chennai, two kidneys, eyes and liver to different hospitals in Vijayawada.
