The Budget Session of the State Assembly which began with the Governor’s address to a joint session of both the Houses on Monday will continue till March 28. 

Amaravati: The Budget Session of the State Assembly which began with the Governor’s address to a joint session of both the Houses on Monday will continue till March 28.

The Business Advisory Committee headed by Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao has decided the schedule for the entire session, after adjourning the House.

The House will discuss on Motion of Thanks on Governor’s Address on March 6 and 7 and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will deliver his speech on March 7.

Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu will present the State Budget for 2018-19 at 11.30 am on March 8. Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy will present Budget on Agriculture and Allied sectors on the same day.

There will be no sitting on March 9, and there will be holidays on March 10 and 11. Then there will be general discussion on Budget for four consecutive days from March 12 to March 15, and the Finance Minister will give reply to the House on Budget on the final day of the general discussion.

The Finance bills related to roads, buildings and ports, major and medium irrigation, minor irrigation and energy will be presented on March 16. There will be holidays on March 17 and 18 for the House.

Bills related to agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries, cooperation and civil supplies departments will be tabled on March 19. Whereas Housing, Social Welfare, Tribal Welfare, Backward Classes Welfare, Minority Welfare, Women, Child and Disabled Welfare related bills will be tabled on March 20.

The financial bills related to School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education, Sports and Youth Services, Medical and Health will be tabled on March 21. The bills pertaining to Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development will be presented on March 22.

On March 23, there will be discussion on Revenue, Registration and Relief, Excise Administration, Commercial Taxes Administration, Transport and Home deprtments.

Then on March 24 and 25, there will be holidays for the House. Discussion pertaining to the labour and employment, Endowments, forest, science, technology and environment, industries and commerce, tourism, art and culture, information technology and communications and public enterprises departments will be held on March 26. In addition to it, the government will present the supplementary estimates of expenditure for 2017-18 financial year.

The bills related to State Legislature, general administration, information and public relations departments will be discussed on March 27. On the same day, the government will place supplementary estimates of expenditure for 2017-18 for discussion and voting. On the concluding day of the Budget Session on March 28, the Finance Minister will move the AP Appropriation Bills for 2018.
