Amaravati: Delirious supporters of Pawan Kalyan went out of control at the Jana Sena party’s maiden plenary near the Acharya Nagarjuna University on Wednesday. The police had to resort to lathicharge to bring the berserk fans.
Pawan fans rushed towards the dais and the media enclosure and tried to ransack them. The crowds were huge and uncontrollable. Left with no option, the police had to resort to lathicharge to control the crowds.
Jana Sena’s first plenary is being held at the ground opposite the Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur district. Pawan unveiled party policies and programmes at the plenary. A day before the plenary, Pawan performed bhumi pooja for his house near Kaja village in the district.
