Mohammad Ameena (4) has won the second prize of Rs 15,000 in the Quran memorization competitions organised by United Forum for Quranic Studies, Andhra Pradesh (Vijayawada) recently. The united forum has organised the competition for Under 12 boys and girls during February. Mohammad Ameena participated in the group ‘A’ category (for 3-4 years group) and won the cash prize.

Bhimavaram: Mohammad Ameena (4) has won the second prize of Rs 15,000 in the Quran memorization competitions organised by United Forum for Quranic Studies, Andhra Pradesh (Vijayawada) recently. The united forum has organised the competition for Under 12 boys and girls during February. Mohammad Ameena participated in the group ‘A’ category (for 3-4 years group) and won the cash prize.

The Jamat-e- Islami Hind (JIH), Bhimavaram unit has organised the prize distribution programme at JIH office. The JIH Town Committee president, Sheikh Imtiaz presented the cash prize cheque for Rs 15,000 to Ameena’s parents. Speaking on the occasion, Imtiaz said that the united forum was conducting the memorisation of Quran over the years to create awareness and interest on the scripture among the children.

Several Muslim leaders and elders blessed Ameena for her outstanding performance. JIH members MM Pasha, Akbar Hussain, Akram, Irfan, Hidayatullah Sheriff, Rizwan, Nabi, ISO members Sayyad Farhan and Muzahid, Saleem participated in the programme.
