Inspection of EVMs begins
The inspection of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) started here on Monday, as per the directions of the State Election Commission.
Eluru: The inspection of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) started here on Monday, as per the directions of the State Election Commission.
Collectorate H-Section Superintendent Dora opened two EVM storage rooms in the presence of representatives of various political parties.
Speaking on the occasion, Dora said that preliminary inspection of EVMs would be conducted every day from 10 am at the storage rooms, in the presence of leaders belonging to the political parties.
The programme would continue until March 30, he added. During the inspection, the political parties may check the performance of the EVMs.
As there is a possibility of the general elections happening at any time, the EVM inspection has been taken up, he added.
Election wing staff Radhakrishna, Rajesh and Prasad participated in the
programme.
