Chandrababu Naidu to launch Hero Motors plant works today
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be visiting Chittoor district to participate in the Hero Motors ground breaking ceremony’ in Satyavedu mandal, on Friday.
Tirupati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be visiting Chittoor district to participate in the Hero Motors ground breaking ceremony’ in Satyavedu mandal, on Friday.
According to District Collector P S Pradyumna, Chief Minister after participating in the ground breaking ceremony at Madannapalem village where the Hero Honda Project will be coming up, will address a meeting in the village. He will be returning to Amaravati by special flight from Renigunta Airport at 12.00 noon.
Collector said the major automobile industry will be coming up in an area of 636 acres in Madnapalem village and will be established for production of 5 lakh motor cycles by 2019 December which will be doubled after the completion of the second unit in 2020 and further up to 18 lakh motor cycles by the year 2025.
In all, the total investment by the company will be Rs 3,200 crore for the motor cycle manufacturing unit, Collector said informing that about 15,000 people will get employment with the project which he said would go a long way in making Rayalaseema as automobile hub with Apollo Tyres also setting up their unit in the district.
