Chandrababu Naidu to lay stone for Hero Motors unit today
District Industries Centre (DIC) General Manager (GM) Anil Kumar Reddy said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will perform bhoomi puja for production unit to be set up by Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL) at Daminedu in the district on Friday.

Speaking to The Hans India, the GM stated that district has achieved record growth on the industrial front in the last three years. Tirupati emerging as automobile and electronics hub, he stated.
Anil Kumar Reddy said that 6,633 MSMEs and 133 large & mega industries were established in the district with an investment of Rs 17,414 crore, creating an employment opportunity for 1.25 lakh candidates.
During 2017-18, the district has grounded 766 units with an investment of Rs 1,901 crore, he added. Referring to the incentives released during the year, he said 1,352 claims were settled with Rs 30.95 crore for encouraging the industrial growth in the district.
