Kadapa: Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy temple at Vontimitta in Kadapa district has been spruced up for Navahnika Brahmotsavams from March 24 to April 3. Thousands of devotees from surrounding districts are expected to witness this pilgrimage centre during the 9-day annual fete.

Meanwhile the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) has made elaborate arrangements for the Brahmotsavams in view of heavy influx of pilgrims.
The temple surroundings have been illuminated and welcome arches have been erected for the annual festival.

Ankurarpanam for the annual feet will be held on Saturday and the temple Brahmotsavams will begin with Dwajarohanam on Sunday. On the same day evening, Seshavahana Seva and Pothana Jayanthi will be performed.

The important days of the event include Garudaseva on March 29, Seetha Rama Kalyanam on March 30 and Chakrasnanam on April 3. The festival concludes with Pushpayagam on April 3.

TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal, along with JEO K Bhaskar, Collector T Babu Rao Naidu, Rajampet MLA and government whip M Mallikarjuna Reddy, SP Babujee Attada visited the temple on Saturday and expressed satisfaction over the ongoing arrangements for the fete.

Later, the EO conducted a review meeting with the officials and directed them to ensure steps for smooth conduct of the event.
