A digital classroom was inaugurated by institutions secretary NVK Durgarao.

A digital classroom was inaugurated by institutions secretary NVK Durgarao.

On the occasion, the college management felicitated Dr K Lakshminarayana, a former IAS officer for his outstanding services to the state and presented the prestigious Alluri Bapineedu Award.

Addressing as chief guest, Lakshminarayana said that about 50 percent of the students all over the nation were studying arts and humanities. Only 25 percent were in engineering studies. He suggested the students to hold grip on history and other arts subjects to get more opportunities than engineering students.

Speaking on the occasion, Kommareddy Rambabu informed that the institutions like TCS and Infosys had been providing employment opportunities to the degree students when compared with the engineering students.

The college correspondent, US Ramprasad said that the Employability Skill Centre would provide free training programme this month to get selected to posts in Railways. AP Skill Development Centre Godavari Districts’ manager Krishna Reddy, college principal NVVS Prasad addressed the meeting. Retired lecturer PC Swaroop, Skill Development Centre in-charge Phani Kumar participated in the programme.
