Bhashyakarula Sattumora celebrated in grand manner

Tirumala: The annual festival of Sri Bhashyakarula Sattumora was grandly celebrated at Tirumla Sri Venkateswra Swamy temple on Saturday coinciding with the birth star of Arudra in Visakha month, the birth star of Sri Ramanujacharya, the exponent of Vaishanavism. As part of the event, Abhisekham was performed at the sannidhi of Sri Bhashyakarlu (Ramanujacharya) at Alipiri footpath after colourful procession on the four-mada streets in the morning.

In the evening, the utsava idol of Sri Bhashyakarlu were taken out in mada streets in Tiruchi along with Sri Malayappaswamy and his consorts on another Tiruchi after the Sahasra Deepalankara Seva and pradakshina along the Vinama Prakasam inside the Tirumala temple. The celestial event of sattumora performed in the night at Sri Bhashyakarla sannidhi wherein special sallipu with ornaments was performed. Among others Sri Pedda Jeeyar swamy and Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, temple officials and others participated in the event.
