Officials told to ensure drinking water to mosques
District Collector B Lakshmikantham on Wednesday instructed the municipal commissioners and panchayat raj department officials to ensure supply of drinking water to all the mosques in the district in view of the beginning of holy month of Ramzan on Thursday.
Vijayawada: District Collector B Lakshmikantham on Wednesday instructed the municipal commissioners and panchayat raj department officials to ensure supply of drinking water to all the mosques in the district in view of the beginning of holy month of Ramzan on Thursday.
The Collector convened a meeting with the revenue and minorities department officials at the camp office and discussed the needs of Muslims during the month.
He asked the officials to maintain hygiene near the mosques and clean the nearby premises daily. He said coordinator cell with mobile number 9963478976 opened in the district and asked the Muslims to take the help from the concerned cell. He said wheat flour and sugar will be distributed this month to the ration card holders.
