Awards to Kadapa cops for nabbing dreaded gangster
DGP M Malakondaiah has felicitated 6 police officials belonging to Kadapa district with the Award for Best In Crime Detection (ABCD) for arresting the notorious gangster. He presented the awards to Kadapa DSP Sheik Masoom Basha and five other cops.

It may be recalled that M Sunil, who is serving life sentence in Kadapa Central Prison, had managed to escape from escort police at Pendlimarri bus stand on March 27 while he was being brought to central prison after producing him in a court in Kurnool.
He was accused in 19 cases like illegal transportation of weapons, murders, kidnappings and vehicle thefts across the State. Kadapa SP Attada Babujee had suspended two escort police on the allegations of extending help to Sunil.
Later, the cops were arrested after charges were proved. The cops launched a manhunt for gangster Sunil and arrested him at Bengaluru on April 4.
