The city-based boy Priyam Tated has been selected to participate in 18th Asian Roller Skating Championship, which will be held in South Korea from September 4 to 10, and Roller Artistic World Championship in France from October 1 to 14.

Visakhapatnam: The city-based boy Priyam Tated has been selected to participate in 18th Asian Roller Skating Championship, which will be held in South Korea from September 4 to 10, and Roller Artistic World Championship in France from October 1 to 14.

He is the only player from Andhra Pradesh, who has been selected to participate in world championships. The selection trails were held in Ahmedabad on May 5. Priyam will join the first training camp to be held at IIM Ahmedabad from May 25.

Priyam Tated already won five international medals and 21 national medals, including gold medal in 2018, Cambodia National Figure Skating Championship, bronze medal in Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy, silver medal in 17th Asian Roller Skating Championship, gold medal in Asian Open Figure Skating Trophy-2016, silver medal in 11th Malaysia Open National Figure Skating Championship and bronze medal in ISU World Development Trophy in 2015 in Kualalumpur. Priyam won as many as 66 medals and trophies at national and international-level so far. He is studying Class X at Sri Chaitanya School in the city.
