Nellore: YSRCP leaders staged Vanchanapai Garjana on Wednesday at the Collectorate followed by two-day yatras in various constituencies. Participating in a rally here, party district convener and Sarvepalli MLA K Govardhan Reddy, interacting with the media, said that the state had achieved growth in corruption in the TD rule.

Tirupati MP V Varaprasada Rao alleged that the Chief Minister accepted special package for their own benefit as it would not be possible with special status. So, he said, the Chief Minister had initially refused the special status. He stated the YSRCP would fight till the State get special tag. City MLA P Anil Kumar said the state government had deceived people without fulfilling the 600 poll promises.

He said the ruling party hadn’t done anything in the last four years except promoting corruption and irregularities. The MLA ridiculed the Chief Minister for taking up protests demanding special status to AP only to win the voters in the ensuing elections. The rally which began at the Gandhi Statue Centre has concluded at the Collectorate. Later, the YSRCP leaders handed over a representation to the district administration.
