Visakhapatnam: Police cracked the murder mystery of the married woman whose body was found by the joggers between Kothapalam and Narava areas under Pendurthy police station limits on May 4. Police identified her lover R Satish as the accused and produced him before the media.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Crime DCP T Ravi Kumar Murthy said that the deceased was identified as K Sujatha (32), native of Guntur district, mother of two children and legally separated from her husband in 2011. Later, she came to Vizag and residing in a hostel while working as a sales woman in a mart in the city.

She got into relationship with Sateesh here colleague in the mart and native of Timiram village near Devarapalli in Visakhapatnam. In 2016, both had stayed in a house at Baji Junction in the city and continued their affair up to October 2017.

Later, Sateesh had started a photo studio at Gopalapatnam limits and his parents decided to get him married to another woman from Gajuwaka area. Meanwhile, Sateesh conveyed the same to Sujatha but Sujatha rejected it and approached Timiram village leaders and complained against Sateesh and his family. Thereafter, she had left house where she used to stay with Sateesh and started residing in a hostel at Ramnagar area in the city.

The accused Sateesh, who was angry at Sujatha for defaming his family members in the village, had hatched a conspiracy and invited Sujatha for a second show movie on May 3 after the movie, he took her to his studio and had sex.

A 2.25 am on May 4, he took her to an isolated place near Narava and killed her by tightening a plastic rope around her neck and set her body ablaze and fled the spot. Police identified Sateesh as the accused with the help of CCTV footage. During the interrogation Satish confessed to committing crime.
