Struck by lightning, 14-year-old girl dies

Kurnool: Abrupt changes in the atmosphere on Monday evening created havocin the district. Gusty winds disrupted power supply for hours. The power supply department had a tough time to restore power supply as several poles were uprooted. Lightning struck at several places on the western parts of the district. A 14-years-old girl died instantly due to lightning in Banaganapalleon Mondayevening.
The deceased was identified as Shaik Nazia. Reports say that she has gone to the terrace of her house tocollect the clothes. Lightning struck her and she died. Her parents noticed about her death after half an hour when they went to terrace.
They immediately rushed her to the nearest hospital where the doctorsconfirmed her death. The Banaganapalle police after receiving theinformation, rushed to the hospital and registered the statement of the family members. The girl was pursuing education in 9th class.
