Visakhapatnam: The city traffic police have imposed certain traffic restrictions in the city on Tuesday for the smooth conduct of Telugu Desam Party's “Atma Gaurava Sanghibhava Yatra” at Andhra University Engineering College Grounds here on Tuesday.

Thousands of leaders and activists from ruling party will gather at Atma Gourava Sanghibhava Yatra, where Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will address.

All the prime junctions in the city turned with yellow ribbons and flags and the local leaders were very busy in gathering public for Atma Gaurava Sanghibhava Yatra to show their strength to their party supremo.

ADCP (Traffic) M Ramesh Kumar said the traffic restrictions will be placed from 1 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday between Siripuram and Peda Waltair stretch and between Maddilapalem Junction and Three Town Police Station stretch (via AU Engineering College Road), from Satyam Junction to Rama Talkies Junction and from Maddilapalem Junction to Swarna Bharathi Junction.

The ADCP advised the motorists in the city not to use those stretches from 1 pm to 9 pm and use other routes for the hassle-free journey. Pass holders with vehicles should paste their vehicle pass on the windshield and have to reach the venue by 3 pm through SP Bungalow route and park their vehicles at the designated parking areas only. No vehicle will be allowed through the SP Bungalow route after 3 pm, he said.

Vehicles coming from Yelamanchili, Parawada and Anakapalle and proceeding towards Srikakulam and Vizianagaram will be diverted at Lankelapalem and proceed via Sabbavaram and Pendurthy towards Anandapuram on the National Highway-16.

All the heavy vehicles going towards Srikakulam and Vizianagaram from Gajuwaka and Visakhapatnam Port will be diverted via NAD junction, Gopalapatnam and Pendurthy towards Anandapuram.

Vehicles coming from Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Kolkata and going towards Anakapalle, Vijayawada and Chennai will be diverted at Anandapuram to proceed via Pendurthy and Sabbavaram. The traffic police suggested the event organisers to follow the suggestions of police and park their buses and other vehicles at the designated parking areas.
